We will work closely with local, national and international music based industries and institutions
Students at QEMS have the opportunity to study Music across the world in a practical way using a variety methods including group work, independent work and personalized learning so that each student enjoys all the processes involved and makes the maximum progress they can.
At KS4 they can study GCSE music or NCFE Music technology which develops their practical and compositional skills. Music Technology is an accredited 2 GCSE course and allows students to study dj ing and mixing as well as the recording media environment.
The focus on independent learning underpins work done iat Alevel, where the students can study A level as well as A level Music Technology.
All courses from KS3 to KS5 have a huge practical bias and develop students  personal enjoyment of Music.
Extra Curricular music at QEMS involves many students of varying abilities, there is an opportunity for all tastes and abilities from Choirs to bands to pop based activities.
A large amount of instruments are taught to over 200 students who are entered for Associated Board exams as well as playing in many ensembles. These students play in school concerts, in the community and at county level.
We are proud to say that QEMS students have been involved in Music making across the county as well as in large concert halls like Albert Hall and Symphony Hall.
